Underpants and fish
About to go out and have some Thai food. Opposite is an incredibly bright blue light:

I have a way around this which is a secret shared by me and a few hundred million Chinese.
First few days in China part 3
Taxi to work for 8:30 and was greeted by a door on the 16th Floor:
A cleaner let me in and I sat in a conference room for an hour til everyone arrived at work.
First few days in China part 1
Few days to catchup. It's been a bit hectic with the whole going to a country that has a different internet.
Saturday: Mike drove me to shitty United terminal 7. Security, takeoff, drink, food, sleep, food, Shanghai airport.
Sunday: Mr Peng picked me up from the airport. He was not Mr Ping who is Po's dad. Thought the company was doing some sort of theme thing: but no. Bought some milk for tea in the morning which involved a certain amount of guessing, since I don't read the Chinese.
Monday: Which is really Sunday afternoon in the US. Woke up at 5am. Here are two views out of my balcony. This is the skyline which is a bit foggy/smoggy.

And this is the building opposite which is 37ish floors high. It is the same as my building. The drop is sickening:
